OCS Korea: The Forgotten War covers the first year of the war and highlights the mobile phases of the battle. Campaign victory is determined most often by the stable positions of the lines (relative to the 'neck' of the peninsula). Beyond the Rhine: $134.00 Add to cart: Beyond the Rhine depicts the campaign for Northwest Europe from September 1944 to April 1945. Product DescriptionTheme:The Korean War stands as a key event in world history. It is well-deserving of further study. The first shooting confrontation of the Cold War, and the first limited war of the nuclear age, it is the only time since the Second World War that two of the world's major military powers fought one another - in this case the United States and China.Diplomatically, the war offers an interesting view of the miscalculation and ineptitude on both sides that led to open conflict. It also brings to light the United Nations' first opportunity to play a leading role in world military events.OCS Korea: The Forgotten War covers the first year of the war and highlights the mobile phases of the battle. Campaign victory is determined most often by the stable positions of the lines (relative to the 'neck' of the peninsula).
A number of shorter scenarios are also included to allow players to explore specific operations or to use as a training scenario before taking on one of the campaign games.OCS Korea: The Forgotten War was initially released in 2003.

With the recent airing of Ken Burns' documentary about the Vietnam War on PBS, I find myself very motivated to play a game focusing on either the Vietnam War or the Korean War. Aside from Fire in the Lake and Mark Walker's '65, I'm not sure what other solid games focus on the Vietnam War. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a game focusing on the Korean War.I don't shy away from playing complex games, but have also never dabbled in the true wargame genre at all.
The closest I have come in Conflict of Heroes many years ago.Thanks!. The Korean War from Victory Games and.Korea: The Forgotten War (OCS) are big operational games. The Korean War is the better Korea game, but OCS is a popular series with many other entries.Downtown: Air War over Hanoi 1965-1972 is a raid-level air game that's pretty interesting. It's worth looking into if you like planes and have some disposable income.Fields of Fire has both Vietnam and Korea campaigns. It's solitaire only.Phantom Leader is a solo Vietnam air war game in the Leader system.Hell over Korea is an expansion for B-29 Superfortress, another solo air war system.Conflict of Heroes is a true wargame!. There's always Bloodtree Rebellion, which was a Vietnam game made too close in time to the Vietnam War, and so rethemed. But the game itself is pure Vietnam.Operation Pegasus is an interesting one, strong focus on air cav.
There's also Winged Horse.Silver Bayonet is a very good tactical treatment with asymmetric sides.Victory Point put out The Chosin Few, a solo design, recently. There's a good (if basic) adaptation of the Korean War on Android:.The Speed of Heat covers the air war in both Korea and Vietnam.
